Isidore Horse

This is a viz i made a couple of days ago of a free laserscanned model i found on the web, it's called Isidore Horse although it looks more like a donkey.

The main model is rendered with Maxwell using a gold'ish type shader i created for it. Then i created a dirtmap in Cinema4D which is rendered there and then both the Maxwell and the C4D images are composed in Photoshop. There i also beat up the renderings more, added more dirt, fingerprints, grime, general wear & tear to make it look more aged.

Here's the post-edited rendering from Maxwell.

I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as i enjoyed creating it.

This is my idea of how i wanna design a eggclock if i ever had the chance to do it i enjoyed modeling this even though it looks simple in both it's modeling and it's rendering and yes it is quite simple but even simple things can be pretty to look at.

I modeled this in a betaversion of Moi3D last year and now found the model again in my archive, then i thought i'd try bringing it back to life agian with the help of Maxwell, some nice lighting and simple yet effective materials. This took 5 hours to render at 3200x2400 pixels on my rig.

Here's the link to the fullres 3200x2400 rendering, it's huge..
Lighting is only done by a single hdr map, and the glare is Fryrender's own glare added at rendertime.

Werther's Original Candy

This i made for this months candy challenge at Maxwell's MXM Challenge, this one rendering is just so i could get a idea of what this candies look like when lit and thrown in a simple scene. So it's for visualisation purposes.

This scene has it's main light and reflections provided by a hdri map of a house, and there's a small fill lightplane that just provides very little extra light on the side but it's not much at all.

I let it render over night for 8 hours 33 minutes 55 seconds and it reached SL 14,58 at 1600x1200 resolution.

The candy itself is just a simple model i made in Modo, then the scene is setup in C4D and Maxwell Studio. Setup time was perhaps a whole 15 minutes totally including modeling
